Equinox (Review of the summer)
Summer is officially over. It's been a right classic this year, stretching from a weekend in a monastery to a new job (and cracking staff party in posh-o Barcelona nitespot).
Albums we've listened to in the sun:
1 The Libertines / The Libertines - "Oh no, you've got it the wrong way round".
2 Rolling Stones / Exile On Main Street - thumping classic "I'm drifting through the days at lightning speed."
3 David Bowie / The Singles Collection - unparralelled genius "Time and again I tell myself, I'll stay clean tonight." and "Don't you wonder sometimes___, 'bout sound and vision?"
4 Scissor Sisters / Scissor Sisters - the road to Tarragona "You're only coming through in waves."
5 Outkast / Speakerboxxx-The Love Below - Glam Hip hop "…and crash into a ditch."
Movies we've watched with the air conditioning on full blast:
1 Fletch
2 Starsky and Hutch
3 Fahrenheit 9/11
4 Shaun Of The Dead
5 Anglian Alan - not actually a movie, but should have been.
Books I've sat out reading:
1 A Million Little Pieces
2 Everything Is Illuminated
3 The Confessions + Les Miserables (at last I actually read both! (twat))
4 Various Flashman stories
5 Money
So yes, it's been a wild, Vice City style summer with abandoned bars, 5am factories and dodgy bouncers all the way.
Now it's Red Lion time.
