Carly Fiorina leaves HP

The Guardian's take on this is the only one which has really caught my interest (though the story is lifted from agencies, so it may well appear elsewhere).

What particularly interested me was Shannon Cross's idea that "...there will be a boost to employee morale because, internally, people had become frustrated, certainly within the printing division."

Now I'm well aware that I'm nearly at the very bottom of the ladder in HP, and that we European workers might not be considered by analysts like Shannon Cross. But on my side, I don't see much to be happy about. It certainly looks as if the board plans a change in direction - and for my part, I don't know how that will affect European business.

Naturally it'll take some time before we're given any clues as to the security of our position here and I'm not particularly worried. On the other hand, sudden change like this - though clearly enjoyed by the Wall Street analysts and the traders - will naturally worry many employees.
