Pete's out

Pete 'fucked' Doherty is out of jail after spending 6 nights inside. It looks highly likely that his record company left him in for as long as possible, so as to help with the rehab programme he has now started.

This all feels like a massive 'last chance' for Pete. He is no longer seen as a half decent band leader who does some drugs – the feeling now seems to be that he is a big junkie waste of space. So what he clearly needs to do now is take advantage of the stramge opportunity he's been given and sort his act out. Failure to do so will no doubt ruin any chances of a Babyshambles album being produced, thus robbing him of the only weapon he has to prove his fierce critics wrong.

Though I'm getting to the point of not caring what he does, I would like to see the guy healthy and happy, like anyone else… but I don't think I'm the only one who'd lose their patience if he screws it up again.
