Galloway wriggles out of trouble, but for how long?
George Galloway stood before the US Senate Committee investigating irregularities and corruption in the Iraq oil-for-food programme yesterday, and by most accounts succedeed in bamboozling and overwhelming the staid Committee.
The most telling snippet from today's Guardian goes some way to confirm Galloway as the wordsmith and slippery snake I thought he was:
"He danced around many of the questions, frequently responding, "I can do better than that" and answering a slightly different question. "
Sounds just like any other politician too, I suppose!
