Charles Clarke to step down?
According to an anonymous source, Charles Clarke will be out of the Home Office by the end of the week, to be replaced by Trade Secretary Alan Johnson. This is the same Alan Johnson who has been rumoured to be a candidate in the future battle for leadership of the party when Blair finally sods off.
