FIB - Benicassim 2006

Just returned from the pop festival at Benicassim, about 3 hrs south of here. We had an awesome time and saw stunning sets from the Scissor Sisters, Futureheads, Morrissey, the Strokes, Franz Ferdinand and others. I'll try to write more about it tomorrow, and will post some photos of our experiences there.

In all, it was great but one thing is certain: it's the last time I camp at Benicassim. Next year, it's a hotel or an apartment. I'm getting too old for it.

    Just to tell u I really hate u for being there! :P Just kidding, but I was unfortunate and poor enough for not being able to get a ticket for those three glorious days… Next year I will buy mine in January.
    Btw: Did you watch Rufus Wainwright? I heard he was great…

    Some friends of mine have been up this year and expressed similar thoughts about lodging: the first year they stayed in a tent on the beach, until it got too hot; the second year they stayed in a tent until the 3rd day then found a hostal just before it chucked it down; the third year they stayed in the hostal they had found the previous year and this year have stayed in a 3 star hotel somewhere up the road!

    What a trip. We missed our flight which perhaps was quite fitting…only by 3 minutes though.

    Nice photos mate. The ones with you with the hat on make you look like Pete Docherty although he wouldn't have had a beer in his hand.
