But looking out at Europe, stuffed with the Merkels,Sarkozys,Berlusconis and the crazy Kaczy?ski et all, Spain looks good indeed. Yes the mortality rates are atrocious, but getting better and even the domestic violence, which of course is awful, is much lower than most Nordic countries. However, are we better off than we were 10 years ago? I for one earn the same wage, exactly the same teaching as I did more than 8 years ago, but now with a mortgage. Anyone else in the same position?
