Some pictures
I've been messing about with the camera today.
Also saw this wierd plane... does anyone know what it is?
Edit: I have now discovered that this amazing aeroplane is an Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter - or 'Beluga'. There are only five in existence but I have no idea why one was flying over the Vallès Occidental! It could be connected with some sort of airshow nearby: last year we saw a EuroFighter showing off.
Our house from space
This is a satellite image of our suburb. Surprisingly, you can't see Gemma outside killing slugs (her favourite hobby).
Bummer in the summer
The weather this August has been mostly terrible. It seems incredible now that we survived Benicassim Festival without being rained on once. At the moment, the climate seems to swing between sweltering 35+ degrees and humid and chilly, but absolutely pissing down.

Spain was never meant to be like this.
Edit (23-agost-2005):
But, to be fair, the sunset and the morning after were both glorious.

Our tent
Continuing the theme from my post about Benicassim, we tried our tent out yesterday, in preparation for the main event.
Gemma's dad, Jaume, took some photos of our progress. The images do not capture the sound of me saying "Look, Gemma, I've read the instructions, ok?" over and over again.
Summer solstice
Today is the longest day of the year and, as is traditional, our cacti have flowered spectacularly.

Cuban posters
We've been looking to buy some classic Soviet era posters to adorn our sitting room, and set a pleasantly heroic and socialist theme (well, I can't do that, so a poster will have to).
Though not Russian, this Cuban poster in support of Palestine has something very fetching about it: a variation on the classic socialist hero theme, replacing the peasant Red Army soldier with the Palestinian freedom fighter.

I have stolen this image without permission from Liberation Graphics, but I only stole it to stop people from using their bandwidth if they link to/view this image. You could say that I have liberated it.
An absence of reporting does not represent an absence of news
We've been really busy recently, and I haven't really had the time to post any news or rants to the site in a week or so.
I've a new job, starting in a week and a half, writing reviews of mobile software and other IT news stories. Enter the Geek! (just kidding, in case my new bosses read this).
Adam and Raquel have moved into Cerdanyola, helping to establish the fledgling English enclave here.
Spring has sprung into summer, as temperatures soared to over 32 degrees!
And here are some pictures to prove it:
